Madalyn Murray O'Hair was the most hated woman in America.
Why was she the most hated woman in America?
She was said to be the founder of Atheism. She created the Atheists of America club pretty much.
She was born in April of 1919. In O' Hair's teen years she read the entire bible and did not believe in God or what the Bible said. At that point in her life she considered herself as an Atheists.
O'Hair went to court and sued several times. She wanted nothing but to take God out of our everyday lives because she did not believe in the words of the Bible.
O'Hair was the one who went to court as the Murray vs. Cullet case and she removed prayer out of schooling. Failing once, she finally removed it. After that event she was hated by almost everyone. Her life was threatened and her home was vandalized.
O' Hair went to court and sued many times after that even though she continued to be threatened by many people
She tried to take the "In God We Trust: off of the U.S. currency.
She also tried to make the churches pay for taxes.
And take Church like quotes off of state monuments.
O'Hair went on to make American Atheist. A place where other Atheist could come together and share ideas. until O'Hair stepped in. Some felt that she was mean to the people there and then would fire them. She would always have people that would follow her in her shadow.
Until one day, American Atheist found that gold coins had gone missing and also that not only the gold but O'Hair, her son, and her granddaughter were all missing.
They all assumed that O'Hair had ran off with the money.
10 years later all of their remains were recovered in a large field in Texas. The only way the law enforcement found out who the people where was O'Hair's hip replacement serial number.
The money was not recovered.

Facts About Cults
Scholars and religious leaders, as well as the public, often have debated the defining characteristics of religious groups known as cults.Others argue that all religious movements, Western or non-Western, begin as cults and, as they grow in popularity and power, evolve into sects and, finally, churches. Using this second argument, one could identify the Seventh-Day Adventists, the Mormons, and the Christian Scientists as groups that successfully shed their cult status and acknowledge utopian communities like Oneida, Amana, New Harmony, and the Shakers as religious groups that failed to survive as churches.Basically, the categorization of religious alternatives as cults rests on the extent to which they challenge mainstream religious institutions. The nation's ensurance of disestablishment (that the state would not designate a particular religious group as favored by civil authorities) and the First Amendment guarantee of religious freedom allowed a number of alternative religious groups to take root and flourish in the United States.Indeed, the same national guidelines that allowed nontraditional religious groups to establish themselves in the United States also created a climate favorable to religious expression and may account for the generally religious character of most Americans.Decline of religious authority, increase in contact between people of diverse backgrounds, and development of mass communication allowed cult leaders to gain personal followings through newspapers and other periodicals, radio, television, and computerized mailing lists.Academics who study groups targeted by anticultists prefer the term "new religious movement," to the term "cult" and criticize anticultists for jeopardizing religious freedom in the United States. They emphasize that destructive cults are rare, that few cult members are coerced into joining, and that most cult followers leave groups of their own accord.Concern over the dangers presented by cults that stockpiled arms achieved national prominence in 1993 when a clash occurred between federal authorities and the Branch Davidians, a Bible-based cult led by a former rock musician named David Koresh, who claimed to be a messiah.
What Are the Beliefs of Islam? As the Jews believed in the Old Testament and the Christians put their faith in both the Old and New Testaments, the Muslims believe the Quran* is the divine word of God.Muslims also believe that Allah has revealed himself through Scripture, including the Old Testament, the Gospels (though not believing them to be accurate), the Quran, and the traditions not contained in the Quran called the Hadith.Besides the five basic beliefs, Muslims also have five pillars or observances that follow as part of their faith.Islam’s basic teaching, called the Islamic creed, consists of six basic beliefs, found throughout the Quran. To the Muslims, the Quran is God’s last word to the world.Islam also holds a strong belief in the prophets, Mohammed being the greatest since he was sent to the entire world. This is used to spread Islam. Finally, Muslims view God as an absolute deity whose will is law.Muslims will enter paradise (though some must first be purged for their sins); non-Muslims will be condemned forever to a pit of fire.Of the above sources, only the Quran is totally trusted by Muslims.Another cherished belief of the Muslims is the belief in angels as messengers of Allah.
Daily Life of Prayer
Some sayings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) concerning prayer are: Prayer is the essence of worship.Prayer averts misfortune.Beg of Allah all that you stand in need of, even the salt you need or the shoelace that has snapped. He who is desires that Allah should accept his prayers when is distressed and hard-pressed, should pray constantly when he is at ease. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) advised his followers that offering the required prayers at their proper times is especially pleasing to Allah. The Holy Qur'an contains many short prayers for all kinds of situations, and the prayers used by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and the Promised Messiah (peace be on him) are well documented.A woman is not permitted to perform salaat during their monthly period, nor enter the prayer area of a mosque, until she has taken a ritual bath (see under Hygiene). Therefore, as a Muslim woman, your day begins and ends with the worship of Allah and glorifying Him as the only Master of everything in the Heavens, the Earth, and the whole Universe.Salaat is the central and principal form of Islamic worship, and must be observed with all its rituals and etiquettes including a ritual ablution (wudhu) before performing salaat. This need is fulfilled by reciting prayers and remembrance of Allah (Zikre Illahi) at any time.Salaat is offered five times daily, at the appointed times of Fajr (at dawn);Zuhr (after midday); Asr (late afternoon); Maghrib (after the sun sets) and Isha (at night). However Islamic worship is not limited to salaat alone, for the need to communicate with one's Creator arises constantly during the day.He further instructed that recitation of the Holy Qur'an after Fajr prayer every morning is also pleasing to Him, even if only a few verses are read.
Muslim Hygine
The Holy Qur'an says: "O you who believe! When you rise up for prayer, wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbows, and wipe your heads, and (wash) your feet up to the ankles." (5:7) The way in which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) performed wudhu is as follows: The hands are washed to the wrists three times. The mouth is rinsed with water three times. The nostrils are cleaned three times by snuffing a little water into them and blowing the nose if necessary. The complete face is washed with water three times. The right arm, and then the left, is washed from wrist to elbow. The head is wiped over with wet hands, and the inner side of the ears wiped with the forefingers and the outer side with the thumbs. Finally, the feet are washed to the ankles, the right one first.Allah says: "Allah desires not to put you in a difficulty: but desires to purify you and complete His favors unto you that you may prosper." (Holy Qur'an, 5:7) The concern here is for the purification of the mind and soul, and Islam emphasizes that external purity leads to internal purity, just as external impurity leads to internal impurity. It is also a sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) to take a bath in preparation for religious occasions, such as Friday (Juma) prayers and holiday (Eid) prayers.Allah states in the Holy Qur'an: "Allah loves those who keep themselves clean." (2:223) There are certain activities after which Muslims are instructed to take a ritual bath in order to purify themselves for salaat. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) stressed the importance of cleanliness. He said: Cleanliness is half of faith.Purification is the key of prayer. When you visit your brethren tidy up your clothes and your mounts for Allah does not like dirt and untidiness.Wudhu (Ablution) Cleanliness is particularly emphasized in connection with salaat (prayer), as a Muslim is expected to try to be in a prayerful state at all times. In accordance with the Islamic belief that the condition of the body affects the mind, physical cleanliness is essential for spiritual well-being.As Islam encourages one to be in a constant state of cleanliness, it goes without saying that bathing should be part of a Muslim's daily hygiene.Acquiring the habit of wudhu not only fulfills the religious injunction, it also helps you maintain habitual cleanliness and self discipline.
Islamic Sisterhood
Some tried and tested suggestions for enhancing sisterly relations are: Remembering Allah much throughout the day.Paying attention to the five daily prayers, memorizing them in Arabic and with translation, reading and understanding the Holy Qur'an, memorizing and practicing hadith.Studying about Islam with your sisters in faith.Attending regularly the Jamaat meetings and volunteering your services for Islam.Paying Jamaat dues, making donations to the needy.Praying with and for your sisters that misunderstandings and cultural differences be lovingly overcome.Dressing modestly in an Islamic manner.Accepting and returning sisterly social invitations that establish mutual respect and affection.Learning and using phrases in the language of your sisters. Some of these ladies were Hadhrat Khadija and Hadhrat Ayesha, wives of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him); Hadhrat Nusrat Jehan, the wife of the Promised Messiah; Hadhrat Amtul Hai Sahiba, Hadhrat Umme Nasir Sahiba, Hadhrat Maryam Sahiba and Hadhrat Maryam Siddiqa, who were wives of the late Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih II.Lajna Imaillah, which means "maidservants of Allah," tries to follow the example of these women, and encourages its members to do good works.
The Quran
There are in total 6,348 verses in the Holy Quran. The text of the Holy Quran has remained unchanged over the past 1400 years. The Holy Quran is the Holy Book or the Scriptures of the Muslims. But it also contains directives for its followers, historical accounts of certain prophets and peoples, arguments for accepting Muhammad as a genuine Prophet and good news for the believers and warnings for the disbelievers. The millions of copies of the Quran circulating in the world today are all identical down to a single letter.Much of the Quran is about God, His attributes and man's relationship to Him.The language of the Quran is Arabic.
Scientology is a religion that offers a precise path leading to a complete and certain understanding of one’s true spiritual nature and one’s relationship to self, family, groups, Mankind, all life forms, the material universe, the spiritual universe and the Supreme Being. Scientology further holds Man to be basically good, and that his spiritual salvation depends upon himself, his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe.
The Religion
Scientology is a religion in the most profound sense of the word, for it is concerned with no less than the full rehabilitation of Man’s innate spiritual self—his capabilities, his awareness and his certainty of his own immortality. While the Scientology religion owes a spiritual debt to the Eastern faiths, it was born in the West and Scientology beliefs are expressed in the technological language of the mid-twentieth century.Scientology beliefs hold that Man is basically good and that his spiritual salvation depends upon himself, his relationships with his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe.Based upon the tradition of fifty thousand years of thinking men, Scientology beliefs are built upon the fundamental truths of life.Scientology adds a precise and workable technology for applying spiritual concepts to every aspect of life.Scientology is the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, universes and other life.
Practices
The purpose of auditing in Scientology is to eliminate harmful spiritual influences that restrict the thetan, and higher levels of this process allow the thetan to interact with the world without needing to use the body as an intermediary. If the family of the deceased opts for a funeral ceremony, a church official will address the deceased, bidding farewell and encouraging his thetan to take up a new body and a new life through reincarnation. However, they also believe that all traumatic experiences form harmful engrams, which limit the expression of the thetan until expelled through auditing, and that this process may occur even when unconscious or suffering “brain death”.Scientology doctrine does not dictate any required or forbidden treatment of the body after death.Counseling through auditing is encouraged by the Church of Scientology for survivors of the deceased.Scientologists believe that the defining part of every human is his soul, or thetan. Each thetan is billions of years old, passing from one human life to the next through reincarnation. As such, Scientology funerals are relatively simple ceremonies and are largely for the benefit of attendees rather than the deceased. There is no judgment of the soul involved, and the process is automatic, without any necessary intervention through ritual, prayer or other means. The ceremony also generally involves a celebration of the deceased’s accomplishments in life and thanking him for the time spent with those attending.
Silent Birth
A silent birth is labor and delivery done in a calm and loving environment and with no spoken words by anyone attending.Silent birth is all about providing the best possible environment for the birthing mother and her new baby. The Church has no policy against the use of medicines to help a person with a physical situation and these principles do not preclude a mother from receiving any medical procedure needed to safely deliver the baby, including Caesarean section.Just like care is taken in all other aspects of labor and birth, a woman and her doctor or midwife and any others present work out how to communicate without words.Mothers naturally want to give their baby the best start in life and thus keep the birth as quiet and peaceful as possible.Silent birth is not a medical model but a religious and philosophical approach based on L.
Levels of Scientology
Replaced by New OT V: A series of steps directed at clearing the Pre-OTs body of body thetans with some attention on body thetans which are causing particular conditions (including health conditions, rock slams caused by the evil intentions of body thetans, PTSness caused by suppressive body thetans, etc.) Audited by Class IX auditors at Advanced Organizations and higher.People who have completed this level have said that it is a review of all of the person's auditing and a verification/ nullification of discoveries the person has made about himself, that it is Route 1 and 2 from the Creation of Human ability book, that it involves looking into your past auditing folders in order to spot any moments where you were being somebody else, e.g. past life identities, which you have discovered on Int Rundown or NED and any body thetans you have unleashed on OT III, OT IV, OT V, OT VI, OT VII and on Lists L10, L11 and L12, then a meter check to see if these identities are right or wrong items."Locating and auditing of body thetans on Incident I (first incident in MEST universe) and Incident II (incident which caused the degradation of these beings into body thetans and clusters as caused by Xenu approximately seventy-five million years ago).
What Happens When Trying to Leave Scientology
It seems very likely that we'll never know the full details of why Holmes wanted to leave in such a cloak-and-dagger manner, but there are reasonable inferences to be made from the way she did it and what has happened to other people who have tried to get away from the Church of Scientology.Former star of hilarious sitcom Living Dolls Leah Remini had been an ardent supporter and member of the church for years until she one day questioned why no one had seen Shelly Miscavige, wife of church leader David Miscavige, in years. In 2009, director Paul Haggis opted to leave the church as a result of their support of Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage, in an open letter to Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis.I'm not suggesting that the church would break into Remini's home in the middle of the night, wrap her in a wet carpet, drive her to the nearest active volcano, and toss her in before filing numerous lawsuits against anyone who even suggests that that's what happened if they thought they could get away with it; I'm just saying it took me all of 30 seconds to think that up, and the church has been coming up with kooky bullshit since the 1960s.Like Katie Holmes, former Tom Cruise wifebot Nicole Kidman was also a Scientologist, and she also left the church, also to protect her children from the church, which we assume she found even more off-putting than sharing a bed with a man who willingly starred in Vanilla Sky.Before going any further, please take a moment to appreciate that the Church of Scientology has knowingly developed plans to ruin people's lives and code named them things like Operation Freakout. Not content with that, Remini eventually left the church and filed a missing persons report on Shelly, who, I can't stress this enough, has not been seen in almost 10 years.Lisa Marie Presley had for a long time been a prominent church member but then one day seemed to slide off the radar while she refused to answer any direct questions about her involvement.
